Welcome. This site is an attempt to collect together a lifetime’s work of writing – books, essays and articles. Living and working in four continents over the last 70 years, my life has been a journey. These writings are a record of, and a reflection on, that journey.

People and Planet

Survival is the number one issue on the human agenda. And we don’t have forever to sort it out. We share a common responsibility for the fate of Planet Earth which is our home. And we share also in the outcome of decisions that are made about it; we are all in the same boat.

This new book is a contribution by a non-scientist to a debate of importance to all humanity.
